Demon Kings Town Planning! ~The Strongest Dungeon is a Modern City~ is yet another isekai fantasy story with its own twist.

In this story, our protagonist is born as a demon king. In this fantasy world, demon kings run dungeons and try to attract adventurers into those dungeons in order to feed off their emotions. Instead of creating a dangerous, treasure filled dungeon in order to entice and defeat adventurers, our protagonist decides to create a town where its citizens can live peacefully.

There are some elements here that remind me of the show That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime. It’s a similar premise in that it’s about a bad guy who tries to be a good guy who makes a city for monsters and humans. What separates the two is that in this series, there is a focus on building. Whereas other isekai worlds adopt the same rules as role playing games, the rules in this world are more akin to tower defense games. Besides that, it actually is very much a copy of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Worth mentioning is that there is a ton of fan service in this comic. Do with that what you will.

Overall, I still enjoyed this series because I am a perpetual sucker for this genre. If you are also a sucker for this genre and you enjoy fan service, you’ll probably enjoy this.
