This manga is your standard fantasy manga in a sea of fantasy isekai stories.

The basic premise is that a group of adventurers in a fantasy world go fight this big bad demon. It doesn’t look like they can win, so the mage in the group tells the other two to retreat. They retreat and the mage spends the next ten years fighting this demon until he finally defeats it. He then returns to the human world to find that everyone thought he died and moved on. The mage now continues his adventure while pretending to be a low level adventurer when in reality he is one of the most powerful beings in the world.

This is your standard fantasy/isekai story with all the tropes. There’s an over powered main character. He walks arond wrecking everyone. That’s pretty much the whole story.

This is a one dimensional book and the only reason I enjoy this is because I am a sucker for fantasy/isekai stories. If you like this genre, you’ll enjoy this. If you don’t, don’t bother because this story is derivative. It does not deviate from the genre at all and does not introduce anything new to the genre.
