Details: Found the truck on the corner of 6th Avenue and 40th Street in Manhattan. The official site is http://chickls.com/
Chickls is a halal food truck that serves fried chicken. Just tenders and nuggets, no actual pieces of chicken. What’s most amazing to me about this truck are the reasonable prices and that they honored the free chicken tenders promised on the menu above.
Details: There a number of carts here that are Halal Guys and a number that are imitators. The one cart that is undoubtedly a genuine Halal Guys cart is on the southwest corner of 6th Avenue and 53rd Street, New York, NY. The official site is http://thehalalguys.com/
A number of years ago I came here once under the pretense that this was the best halal cart in New York City. To my recollection, I paid around five dollars for what was arguably the best halal in the city, though not by a wide margin. Fast forward to the present day, and while I can say the food is about the same as it was the last time I had it, the price isn’t.
Details: It is the food cart on the northwestern most corner of the block of 140 Broadway,
New York, NY 10005. Couldn’t find an official site so here’s an unclaimed yelp page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/indian-king-biryani-house-new-york?osq=food
I normally don’t write any post for halal food carts, but this was identifiable enough to write something. Got the chicken over rice for five dollars, which was fine but better priced than most places by a dollar. Notable is that a lot of people waiting on the line with me got other stuff. For instance, they have a Chinese style chicken over rice and other biryanis. I think they use a different sauce for those. Those things seemed fairly popular, but they do cost extra, like eight or nine dollars.
