Movie Review: Parasite

Score: 7.5/10

Parasite is a movie I’ve been hearing about for a while. After it won the Oscar for best picture this year, I figure I finally get off my butt to go watch it.

I don’t want to say too much about the movie for spoilers. This is definitely one of those movies you should go into blind. Watch the trailer if you must, but don’t read nothing else about it.

What I can say is that this movie has some core themes that are relevant to the real world. The movie is also really funny at times. At other times, it’s really serious. And that’s all I’ll say about that.

The movie is beautifully shot. It definitely has the feel of an independent movie, but with better planning and a decent budget.

The acting was all fantastic. No complaints there.

Overall, this was a great movie with a meaningful message relevant to our current world. How you interpret that message is up to you. That’s how art goes. But I definitely interpreted it in a certain way and it resonated with me.
