Four Four South Village is a Taiwanese restaurant that primarily markets noodle soups. The noodle soup here was okay, but I’m much more interested in the other stuff they have on the menu.
I ordered the braised beef noodle soup since this place primarily advertises the beef noodle soup. It cost about twelve dollars. It was all right. Not the worst bowl I’ve ever had nor is it the best. If I go back again I’d get the pork belly over rice because that looked amazing.
The most attractive thing about this place is the aesthetics. The interior was very well designed and it is a tasteful, comfortable place to eat.
Service was fine.
Overall, this place was okay. I’d love to come back and try other things, but this place is perpetually crowded. I think it’s a combination of its location, the appeal of the style of its interiors, and that they put the name of their primary dish in the name of the restaurant, which is just a good idea in terms of marketing. If the place ever gets less crowded, I’ll come back.
