Movie Review: Zombieland: Double Tap

Details: More information can be found at and

Score: 6.4/10

Zombieland: Double Tap is the sequel to Zombieland, which came out a few years ago. This is pretty much the same movie as the prior one and this is a clearly intentional effort. If you liked the last movie, you’ll like this.

Double Tap picks up where the last movie left off. The gang has continued living happily in this post apocalyptic zombie nightmare. When the youngest member of the gang goes off looking for boys, the rest of the gang must track her down and make sure she’s okay.

The humor here is hit or miss. It’s not a laugh out loud type of movie. It’s more of a light chuckle. Jessie Eisenberg is Jessie Eisenberg in every movie he’s in. He’s like a less memorable Michael Cera. Woody Harrelson is the same in that he always plays the same character. Same for Emma Stone. None of these people are stupendous actors nor are their comedic timings all that great.

There are a lot of celebrity guest appearances. That was fun.

Overall, this was a mostly boring movie for me. Not a lot of jokes hit their mark for me nor was their anything plot wise that was exciting. This movie is something you stream on a bored Sunday when you have nothing better to do.
