Dosa Hutt is an Indian, vegetarian restaurant that serves mostly dosa, which is like a crepe, but Indian. They also have some other types of Indian carbohydrates and even rolled up ice cream now, which I think is originally Thai.
I cam by and ordered a Masala Dosa (dosa with potatoes in it) for six dollars before tax. It came with some chutney and a small cup of soup. Everything had some spice to it and since I don’t handle spice well, I sweated buckets. It was all pretty good though. The dosa was hot enough that you could tell that it was made to order, which I appreciated.
The person taking my order spoke fluent English so you don’t have to worry about language barriers or anything like that.
My biggest complaint with this place is the price versus portion. The portion is not enormous. The ingredients are vegetarian, which isn’t expensive considering that it’s mostly bread and potatoes. This should not be six dollars given how little food it given. I think they are simply riding on the coat tails of the Indian temple next door, which is a lot more famous since Anthony Bourdain visited once.
Overall, this place was okay. I’m glad I tried it, but it’s nothing special.
