This place is essentially an overpriced Chili’s… or Applebee’s. The food is, at best, average.
I came here with a bunch of people and we ordered and tried a bunch of things.
We had the Fritto Misto, Crisp Calamari and Shrimp, Garlic Aioli, Spicy Marinara ($19.00); a pizza with Prosciutto, Tomato Sauce, Parmesan, Wild Arugula ($24.00); the Fusilli, Housemade Sausage, Deciccio Broccolini, Fennel Pollen ($28.00); the Linguine and Clams, Shishito Peppers, Scallions, Miso-Garlic Butter ($29.00); and the Half Jidori Chicken, Yukon Potato Puree, Rosemary Jus ($33.00).
The fritto misto whatever was just a fried basket of calamari and seafood. The quality was about the same as any fast casual sit down place. It was average. The pizza was pretty good, but it’s hard to screw up pizza if you put a minimal effort. The pastas were trash, especially compared to the average bowl of pasta I’ve had in New York City. Actually, the pasta I make at home taste better. Plus, the portions were tiny. The pastas were pretty crap. The Jidori chicken was also pretty average. It tasted like your average breaded chicken cutlet, drowned in sauce.
Service was okay. One waitress was very helpful… then the service people kind of disappeared for a while.
Overall, I recommend most people avoid this place. The prices are relatively high. The portion are small. The food is average.
