As most New Yorkers know, there are a lot of Asians in New York City. Accordingly, many restaurants seemingly cater to trendy Asians versus trendy people of other cultures and nationalities. Perhaps it’s intentional, perhaps not. Whatever the case, there are a whole class of restaurants that appeal to Asians in New York City versus restaurants that appeal to Asians as well as non-Asians. The Jin is one of these restaurants and it was packed with Asians.
The Jin is a Korean restaurant with an emphasis on Korean fried chicken. There’s nothing revolutionary here. Just some standard Korean food done pretty well.
We ordered a small order of chicken wings ($12), the chicken katsu ($12) and the pork belly with sauteed kimchi ($16). Everything was great.
Service was good.
The interior is comfortable. There are some booths. Lots of wood used in the decorating.
Overall, this place was great. I can easily recommend it to anyone with a hankering for some decent, normal Korean food.
