Restaurant Review: The Cast Iron Pot 3

The Cast Iron Pot 3 is yet another Korean barbecue place in the Murray Hill area of Flushing.

The interior is all right. The seating has tables with stools and tables with chairs and booths. I don’t really like the stools, but I get the Korean style motif they were going for and I imagine cleaning is easier with these metal-barrel-stools they got.

Waiters were very nice.

They cook the meat in this big concave iron pot, which is novel, but not great as the splatter splashes outward onto you as the meat cooks.

The meat they served was of a good variety. They had pork jowl, which in my opinion is the tastiest meat at Korean barbecue which is about as good, if not better than galbi. There are also some sides you can order like beef soup and steamed egg. This is an all you can eat place and it costs about $29 per person before tax and tip. You can order as many of these sides as you want.

Overall, this place was great.
