TV Show Review: Young Justice: Outsiders

Details: Watched about nineteen episodes this season. More information can be found at

Score: 5.7/10

Young Justice: Outsiders has some of the worst writing I’ve ever heard. The dialogue is just painful. Which is depressing because this is the only animated DC Comics show airing right now. As someone who grew up with Batman: The Animated Series, Superman, Batman Beyond and Justice League, this is just sad.

Outsiders is really just season three of Young Justice. The show picks up a few years after season two. The old team are all adults now and lead a younger covert superhero team.

The only real good thing about this show is that the animation is okay. Other than that, there are so many things about this show that suck.

One thing is their attempts at roping in political issues from reality into the show. These just feel forced and awkward.

The dialogue is so stilted and stiff. Some lines even seem like they were read accidentally by the wrong voice actor because different characters use catch phrases from other characters.

Overall, this was painful to watch. The writing is just too crappy. No amount of decent animation can make up for it.

Score: 5.7/10
