Frame Gourmet is a lunch place that primarily caters to the working crowd. I don’t think it’s even open on weekend or after 5:00 PM. It’s a good place to get good quality food with some variety at a reasonable price (if you come after 3:00 PM).

This place has become my go to place to eat in the neighborhood. There is just enough variety in the hot bar to keep me coming back. Plus they have sushi, some Asian rice bowls, salad and sandwich making section, and pretty much everything you’d expect from a Manhattan lunch place that caters to office workers.

Usually, I get some breakfast here and the breakfast food is priced about what you’d expect in Manhattan. That means that a bacon egg and cheese on a roll is about $4.50.

The main reason I come here is because after 3:00 PM, almost everything is half off. Otherwise, its about $11 per pound of food from the hot bar. The sandwiches are around $9. Personally, I never get food here before 3:00 PM because I’m a cheap bastard. Keep in mind they close early and there are other cheap bastards like me who wait until 3:00 PM. The food after 3:00 PM is limited as it’s whatever is left at that time of day.

Overall, this is a good place for a quality breakfast and lunch after 3:00 PM.
