NONONO is the newest trendy restaurant from the people behind Her Name Is Han, another trendy Asian restaurant. It specializes in Japanese izakaya or yakitori, with a little twist.
The interior is nice. Plenty of room upstairs. Bathrooms are good, though a little cramped and lacking privacy.
I had a bunch of skewers such as the chicken oyster (cost $3.5), the short rib with onions ($4.5), the beef tongue ($5.5), the yuzukoshi nori ($4.5), and the tomato salmon ($4.5). I also had the cream curry udon ($13) and the kuro gama ($6).
Everything was great. The skewers were about as good as any other yakitori place. The cream udon was interesting. It’s a whipped potato cream. The curry was very peppery and don’t expect any meat in it. The kuro gama was mostly black sesame flavored ice cream and panna cotta and was pretty good.
