Restaurant Review: Chef Pho & Peking Roast Duck

Details: Located at 858 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10019. An unclaimed Yelp page can be found at

Chef Pho is a Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant in midtown. I came by for the lunch special. I got the General Tso’s chicken with egg fried rice and an egg roll for a little under ten dollars. It was okay.

The primary reason why you should not go to the restaurant is because there are better competitors in the area, at least in some regards. China Gourmet is one block away and costs less. The Chinese takeout is not as good, but it’s still cheaper. Cha Pa’s Noodle bar is also one blocks away and for a similar price, you get better quality Vietnamese food.

In other words, this place is okay, but there are better places in the area.
