Restaurant Review: Sugarcube

Details: Located at 10-16 50th Ave, Long Island City, NY 11101. Official site is

Sugarcube is a small place that serves desserts like pastries, slices of cake and gelato.

Most of the people I saw come in here just came for the gelato. Some people got pastries and slices of cake. I had some of the raspberry and another white colored gelato whose name I can’t remember. I remember it sounded like a Greek word and that the owner was very proud of it. That gelato came with a story and is comprised of a bunch of ingredients. It just tasted cinnamon-y to me, like a horchata. A small size gelato costs about six dollars after tax.

The people taking orders were nice. The space is small, so don’t expect to get a seat. It’s got enough seating for maybe eight to ten people.

Overall, a decent place to get some gelato.

Score: 6/10
