Restaurant Review: Margon

Details: Located at 136 W 46th St, New York, NY 10036. Here’s a claimed Yelp page: https://www.yelp.com/biz/margon-new-york

Margon is a Cuban restaurant in Times Square that serves lunch as well as breakfast. They have daily specials that range from fried fish, beef stew, and chicken among other things. They also have a well reviewed Cuban sandwich as per Yelp.

I came by for lunch and had the roast pork (or pernil) lunch special for about thirteen dollars. It comes with rice, beans, and two pieces of plantains. I think you can substitute stuff, but I have no idea what the other options are or if there even are any. The food was okay. The roast pork was way to salty. I wish they served more plantains.

The space inside is kind of dirty and cramped. The person who took my order was really nice.

Overall, it was okay. I’m not sure I would recommend it though.
