There are a lot of southeast/Vietnamese restaurants in Flushing. Pho Huang stands out for one reason: it’s open until 1:00 AM.
While Pho Huang has many Vietnamese dishes, it also has some Cantonese style barbecue meats and some curry noodle soups and other items from somewhere else in southeast Asia I think. I don’t think any of these dishes are done extraordinarily well, but they are done well enough for one of the few restaurants that does this kind of food and is open late.
I’ve had the Chinese style barbecue meats as well as their pho noodles and Vietnamese sandwiches. It’s all pretty good and relatively cheap, with prices ranging around ten dollars for most thing.
Overall, this is place is great. Food is good enough. Most importantly, nowhere else is open when this place it, making it an essential restaurant for the people staying up late in this neighborhood.
