Dough Doughnuts is a chain of bakeries in New York City that specialize in doughnuts.
The interior is warmly lit and has a lot of wood. There’s a few seating inside.
I ordered the lemon poppy doughnut. All donuts are three dollars I think, but I’m not sure. What’s you first notice about the doughnut is that it is massive. This is bigger than anything you’d get from Dunkin’ Donuts. Secondly, the doughnut has a lot more in common with a loaf of bread or cake than what I’d normally expect from a donut. It’s denser and the lemon poppy I had was very sweet.
Overall, I’m not sure the donut I had should be classified as a donut. It was more cake than donut. It was heavy and very sweet, perhaps too heavy and too sweet for me. I’m not sure I’d return.
